Oh, Hello There

It's been over a year since I've last wrote on here. Huh. Time sure flies when you're trying to make a living I guess.

Anywho...

I really would like to start writing on here more, like I use to. I'm wanting to focus on other topics though. We shall see how that goes...

Watch "Disappeared" Tonight At 8:00PM On Discovery ID (You Might Just See Me)!

Well, I've been meaning to share something cool with you all. Tonight I'll be on TV, which is an exciting thing for someone who wouldn't mind having an acting career one day. Tune in at 8:00PM tonight on Discovery ID to tonight's episode of Disappeared. I'll be acting as Ashley Freeman, so keep an eye out for me! I'm excited to see the finished product, because I have no clue what it looks like. I'm hoping I don't look fat, in which I'll just say that the TV adds 10 pounds. ;)

Watch a little teaser here...

GO NAVY!

So yeah, I'm pretty much in love with this video. ^^^^^ My Mom introduced me to this video today, which I'm very thankful for! I've never listened to Korean Pop music, but I've heard a ton about it. I can't believe these guys in the Navy have such great dance moves...I swear, they belong in theatre! I also can't believe that their Gangnam Style video hasn't reached a million hits yet. I'm hoping that sharing it on my Facebook & blog will help it get more hits (Not that I think people read my blog that much). Anyways, take a few minutes out of your day to show some support for our USA Navy & have a good laugh!

P!nk's New Album

I must say, I'm REALLY looking forward to P!nk's new album The Truth About Love. I've always adored P!nk---so original, honest, & filled with lots of attitude. I'm liking Blow Me One Last Kiss, which is her first single off of The Truth About Love. I'm sure you've heard it, but just in case you haven't, here is the music video for it...

Tattoos & Piercings

Lately, I've been thinking about tattoos & piercings. I have no tattoos & only my ears pierced (one hole in each ear). I got my ears pierced again a few years back---so I would have two holes in each ear---but it healed up both times I did it. I've thought about getting an Industrial Piercing, but I've heard they really hurt. I've always wanted an upper ear piercing, but never have gotten around to doing it. I use to want my nose pierced and then I found out it leaves a tiny hole that is visible. So, I'm kind of thinking about getting some sort of ear piercing. As for tattoos...I've always wanted one, though I can never land on a design and location. I've always liked the idea of something bird related, since my name is Raven Feather & all. I use to like the feather that's bursting into a bunch of birds, until I found out that it's a popular design on Pinterest. Errrrrr. Maybe I'll make my mind on a tattoo...one day.

The New Addiction Of Women Everywhere...

I think it's safe to say that the new addiction of women everywhere is Pinterest. I know I've found myself a teeny bit of a Pinterest Addict. I go through phases of being Über obsessed. Other times? I have a healthy obsession. All addicts justify their actions though, don't they? But, it's really a neat little site. I've been thinking about making a board for Feather Fotography. I think it's a great way to promote you & your business. I mean, all you have to do is Pin your picture & let the world Repin...it's that easy. If you would like to check out my Pinterest, just click on the link below & enjoy!

18

Well, I can't believe that I'll be 18 tomorrow. I'll officially be an adult, which is weird. Once the clock strikes midnight, I'll be able to...

1. Get a tattoo without parental consent.
2. Register to vote.
3. Get a credit card.
4. Buy spray paint, whiteout, nail polish remover, & water pills from Walmart.
5. Open up a checking account.

Those are just a few random things that come to mind. I'm most excited about being able to buy ALMOST anything I want from Walmart. I think I'm going to go into Walmart tomorrow and buy all of the stuff I listed above, just because I can. ;)

Music To My Ears...

I always love blabbing on about music. I've been listening to so many different and great stuff lately too, so I thought I would make a post where I blab on...

I have pretty much been dying to go to a concert. I haven't been to one since Rocklahoma last year, if you can believe that! I actually had tickets to see John Mayer in Thackerville, Oklahoma back in March. I had GREAT seats and was oh-so excited, but then the worst thing happened: The concert got cancelled. Apparently, John Mayer has had a lot of throat issues and he isn't suppose to perform. Poor John! Not to be all whiny, but it was so Déjà Vu of when I had tickets to see Ozzy. I had great seats once again to an even greater show and was snowed in from one of the biggest blizzards Oklahoma had had in a long time. Maybe I'm just not meant to see Ozzy & John Mayer live in concert?

Speaking of John Mayer, have you all heard his new song Shadow Days? If you haven't, you must do so ASAP! I'm still needing to buy his new album, Born & Raised. I've heard that it's suppose to be some of his best work yet!

I'm looking forward to the weekend because I'm going to Rocklahoma! This year has a pretty good lineup---Rob Zombie (I'm looking most forward to seeing him!), Slash, Theory of a Deadman, Megadeth, & Chickenfoot, to just name a few. It's going to an awesome weekend!

Great News!

I have some really, really, really exciting news to share with you all! I landed my very first acting job with The Discovery Channel! I'll be reenacting Ashley Freeman in the documentary Disappeared, which is about two girls (Laura Bible & Ashley Freeman) in Oklahoma who mysteriously went missing 12 years ago. It's really an interesting story with a lot of unanswered questions. This website I came across has a lot of details on the Laura Bible & Ashley Freeman story, just in case you aren't familiar with it. I'm so happy, thankful, and excited to be apart of this. I will make sure to keep everyone updated...

Not Because Of The Hunger Games...

No, I'm not blogging about Lenny Kravitz because of him being in
The Hunger Games and I just somehow discovered him because of that. Although I did enjoy his role in The Hungers Games (who knew Lenny could act?!). But no, I heard this song on the radio the other day and realized that I really like this song. It has a mellow and chill feel to it. I also really like the bass in Fly Away. It kind of makes me wanna fly away...

Anyways, Happy April Fool's Day! I managed to not get pranked and I didn't prank anyone myself. Which is a good thing I suppose...?

Whatever

So yeah, I'm really bad about posting on here anymore. I never even talked about the play (which is over with by the way). I'll have to write a bunch of post and catch you all up (if you care that is). But, whatever. I have much bigger news...

I am going to make homemade Pop Tarts! I've been annoying my Mom about it for the past few days, so I think shall finally attempt to make some. I've searched around on the internet and I plan on using this recipe. Hopefully I won't burn the kitchen down...

My Good Deed Of The Day

Today, I did something that I've always wanted to do: I donated blood. I thought that you had to be 18 to donate, but I found out that you can be 16 with a parents consent or 17 without one. A lot of places around here have been having blood drives, so I was happy to finally be apart of one. It was actually really fun too! I got a lot of neat stuff and it all was for a good cause. To me, I've always thought that if I needed blood, I would TAKE it. So, if I was willing to take something, why wouldn't I GIVE that something back?

Saving lives while sippin' on Diet Dr. Pepper...it doesn't get any easier than that!

Anywho, I did my good deed for the day.

Bring on 2012

Wow! I honestly can say that I'm shocked that 2011 is almost over. I always get a little sad and slightly excited on New Years Eve. It's the end of one thing, yet the start of something new. I guess you could say it's kinda bittersweet. A lot of changes are coming for me in the New Year. I'll be finishing up high school and then starting college. My life is about to change in 2012, but I'm looking forward to it in a way. So bring on the New Year! Here I come 2012...THE YEAR OF RAVEN! :)

I'm Back (& Not Dead)

I'M BACK!

See? I told you I wouldn't forget. I mean, it's only taken me what, 6 months? Okay, so maybe my break was a little longer than I intended. But, I'm here now and that's all that matters!

Since it's been so long since my last post, I should probably catch you all up a bit...lets see...

I'm a officially on the big decision of college. Yikes. It's makes me nervous just typing it. I'm actually looking more & more forward to college next fall though. I've narrowed it down to a few colleges: Tulsa University (I've toured it & I REALLY wanna go there), John Brown University, Hendrix University, & maybe Oklahoma State University.

Of course I've been busy Christmas shopping. So far, I've found ALMOST everything I've been looking for. With Christmas being only 6 days away, I need to get the ball rolling on that one.

I deleted my old Twitter account recently & made a new one. I'm slowly understanding the ins & outs of it. It's really cool too...maybe not Facebook cool, but still pretty cool. So, if you have a Twitter, follow me @21Ravens!

I'm in a play! This is the first time in almost two years that I'm back on stage. In those almost two years, I've done nothing but work backstage. I must say, I am so happy to be back acting in plays. I forgot how much I missed it. The play is a really good one too--it's called Sam & Laura. It's a love story about Sam Clemens (AKA Mark Twain) & a girl named Laura Wright, whom he was madly in love with. It's a really beautiful story, a true one at that. Mark Twain had this girl who basically invaded his thoughts and dreams for the course of his life. Nobody really knew about Laura Wright...it was almost like a secret love interest of Mark Twain's. I play the Young Laura Wright.

Well, of course a lot more has happened, but I think I'll stop here. I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back!

A Little Break

I've decided that I'm going to take a little break from my blog. I know I haven't been posting as much as I use to and have been slacking on coming to everyone's blog. I hate to not come to the blogs I love because you all always make an effort to read what I have to say and look at my photography (which I really appreciate)! Not sure how long my break will be...definitely not forever.

Soooooo, until I make my return...

Rocklahoma 2011

I went to Rocklahoma for the first time last weekend. I can safely say that I had just about the best weekend of my life. The lineup for Rocklahoma was AMAZING this year. Usually the lineup is so-so, but not the 2011 one. It had a great mix of old and new artist. On Friday night, there was Whitesnake, Hinder, Skillet, Sick Puppies, All That Remains, My Darkest Days, Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights, Texas Hippie Coalition, New Medicine, Bad Things, Wildstreet, Loveblast, D'Molls, Alias, Blue Tiger, Firststryke, Chuck Coolet and the Demon Hammers, Signum A.D., Silverstone, and Return to Custody. Saturday had Staind, Sebastian Bach, Drowning Pool, Rev Theory, Cavo, Pop Evil, The Gracious Few, Hail The Villain, Taddy Porter, Electric Touch, Gypsy Pistoleros, Cutlass, Mock Star, Aura Surreal, Aska, Strikeforce, Siva Addiction, A Good Fight, Bait, Rock Lips, and Sweatin' Bullets. Sunday--which was one of the best nights in my opinion--had Mötley Crüe (Ahhhh!), Poison, Papa Roach, Seether, Black Label Society, Saving Abel, Escape The Fate, Crooked X, Art of Dying, One Less Reason, Bad Things, The Glitter Boys, Black Tora, New Cool World, Pretty Little Suicide, Diemonds, Brandon Clark Band, David Castro Band, and Desi and Cody. See what I mean about the lineup?! Ahhhh-mazing.

Of course I took a ton of pictures. I tried to get a few of each band that hit the mainstage, although I did get some of the ones on the smaller stage...

Day 1

Aside from Saturday's lineup, I was really excited about Fridays. I got to meet two bands on Friday--Skillet & Sick Puppies! My friend got a meet & greet pass from KMOD for Skillet. He just walked up to the KMOD booth at Rocklahoma and told them how much of a Skillet fan he is and they gave it to him! The meet & greet got him in plus one of person (me).

My Darkest Days.

Me with Skillet! I just loved Skillet. They were SOOO NICE and friendly...and not that fake kinda nice.

Skillet signed my ticket!

Sick Puppies!

Lynn Hernandez & I at the KMOD booth!

Skillet!

How many time can a person see Hinder in lifetime and not get tired of them? I think the answer would be that it's not possible to get tired of them! I've seen them 3 times and I enjoy them just as much each and every time.

Austine Winkler, I love you.

Day 2

Day 2 was probably my least favorite day. Not that I didn't like it or enjoy it, it's just I wasn't all too crazy for anyone there. Still had a good time though...

My henna tattoo, before it cracked.

Rev Theory!

Adelitas Way!!

I got to meet them (Adelitas Way) after they finished their set. :) I just wish this picture would have turned out better. =P

The most amazing cherry limeade EVER! SO GOOD!

Drowning Pool! Let the bodies hit the floor...

I am an odd one.

Sebastian Bach.

Staind.

Aaron Lewis doing "Country Boy".

Day 3

The night I had been waiting for! Mötley Crüe, Papa Roach, Saving Abel, & Seether! OH. M. GEEEEEEEE.

Saving Abel!

Love that the guitarist in Saving Abel is wearing a Dr. Feelgood shirt!

Seether!

Glitter Boys "boy". :)
Jacoby Shaddix came into the crowd!

I'm sorry, but I found this rather WRONG.

Papa Roach!

Poison.

It's Mötley Crüe!!!!!!!

Nikki Sixx.

Mick Mars solo.

BA.

I was so scared that I wouldn't get a good picture of Nikki Sixx! I'm so happy that this one turned out...

You can't really see it, but Nikki is giving the "rock star" sign in the background.

Goodbye Mötley Crüe, until next time! ;)

YYYYYYYYYY

Hope you all enjoyed looking over my Memorial Day weekend pix!
