12 Days and Counting...

It is officially 12 days until I go and see Nickelback, live in concert! I will be seeing my Canadian boys at the BOK Center in Tulsa Oklahoma. That place has sure brought a lot of big names to Tulsa...Metallica and AC/DC, just to name a few. One of the best things that has happened to Tulsa.

Seether and Saving Abel will be opening for Nickelback’s sold out concert. I will make sure to take plenty of pictures and post them on my blog.

The day before yesterday, my baby sister (Raine), our dog (Nikki) and I went outside. We just messed around and took some pictures. Oh how Raine loves outside! She is always saying "Out". So she was very happy about this "Photo Shoot". Like I said in my last post, I have been experimenting on Manual mode. It's been a little challenging. Well, before I go on too long, here are the pictures I got...

I love how she looks in this shot! Soooo innocent and adorable!

Awwwww…sweet little baby!

As you can see, she was trying to open the gate...hehehehe

Raine & Nikki are like Batman & Robin...together until the end!

Philbrook Museum Tour

The other day, I went on a tour with my homeschool group at Philbrook Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma and we had a photography class there too. We toured the “Faces of America” (I’m not sure if that’s the name of it, but I think you get an idea of what it’s about!) and I saw a lot of interesting photographs. Anyone from Marilyn Monroe to Babe Ruth, it had it all! After a quick tour, we had a lady in our homeschool group give us a photography 101. She got me to experiment on manual mode and “P” mode. I think my pictures turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself.

I don't know why, but I really like this picture! I just love how they didn't know I was taking their picture!

Purple...my all time favorite color!

I set my camera to 'Super Macro' and it somehow made the picture blurry.

Say cheese!

Hehehehehe...Rosie is such a ham! :)

I had to get in a weird position to snap this picture!

How true...I always learn something new everyday!

Awwwww...Rock Star...My favorite hand gesture!

I love Black & White...Oh so simple, yet so beautiful!

The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star

“A head-on collision was about to happen yet I was to stubborn to take a hint.” –Nikki Sixx

Welcome to the shattered life of famous Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx. Join him on his horrific journey of addiction (heroin, cocaine and alcohol) through his diary entries from Christmas 1986 to Christmas 1987. After reading this book, you will wonder how he made it out of his addiction alive. The Heroin Diaries also has a soundtrack from Nikki Sixx’s band, Sixx: A.M. It’s called The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack.

My Mom and I read this book at the same time. We both enjoyed his style of writing. I think it is absolutely amazing that someone who is addicted to heroine (among other things) could write this well. This whole book is a mixture of emotions, ranging from anger to happiness to hatred to loneliness. Some parts I read in this book would make me want to cry. They were so painful that you could really feel his pain. Then some parts were so funny that I would just bust out laughing! It was a very interesting read as you can tell. But on top of all that, I learned something extremely important from Nikki Sixx’s diary: NEVER EVER DO DRUGS. They will absolutely ruin your life.
